Knotgrass -Polygonum aviculare
The knotgrass is annual plant whose stringy stalks crawl on the ground reaching a length up to 60cm.
Its leaves are small and oblong; flowers are pale pink and very tiny. Knotgrass grows everywhere; in the fields, vineyards and meadows. The knotgrass tea is used for mild treatments of the digestive organs, stomach and duodenum’s ulcers, diarrhea and vomiting. This herb is also used for bleeding of internal organs, especially the lung, uterus and hemorrhoids; it is also used externally against fungal infections of the skin.
