The walnut is resistant and vital deciduous tree that grows as wild in forests and humid areas.

This tree does not want fields that are exposed to strong and cold winds, as well as areas with large temperature amplitudes.  The sun light and mild winds are main factors for the development of the walnut. It is a tree which impresses with its height because often reaches up to 25 meters. The leaves of the walnut tree are large, with a long leafstalk that houses several leaves. The flowers appear at the top of the branch in the form of catkins; the fruit is a nut, wrapped in a strong shell. In these areas the walnut trees are planted for its quality fruit, which together with a walnut leaf are used as medicine. The leaves are used against skin diseases, festering wounds, herpes, ulcers and eczema. The tea of walnut leaves has antibacterial, digestive and aperitifs effects; it is used against worms, constipation, warts, purifies the blood of toxins, increases appetite and strengthens the body. Walnut is one of the few fruits that contain omega-6 fatty acids that that human body needs. Walnuts are very powerful in regard of anti-cancer effects and heart health. They also contribute to the bone health, help to sleep easier and to regulate body weight. The fruit of the walnut is rich in minerals and vitamins E and C.
