Dogwood – Cornus mas
Dogwood is a deciduous shrub with medium or high growth up to 5 meters.
The bark of the trunk is grayish, oval leaves with slightly curved with typical strong veins. The dogwood’s flowers are yellow and bloom in early spring. The fruit is oval shaped and red. Dogwood brings beneficial effect on the mucous membrane of the intestines, treatment of diarrhea and other intestinal diseases. Juice and jam may be made of the dogwood’s fruit juice which is especially useful for children.
