Oak- Querqus robur
The oak is perennial tree, high up to 30 meters, it has spirally arranged leaves and catkin-shaped flowers.
Its fruit is acorn seated in a cupule having one seed. It grows in forests and at higher altitude. Traditional medicine uses oak’s dried bark and leaves as remedy. Oak tea is used for healing inflammation and infection of the urinary tract, disease of the mucous membrane in the mouth and throat, bleeding from the uterus and hemorrhoids, it is also used in the treatment of wounds, eczema and diarrhea.
