Elm - Ulmus campestris

Elm is a deciduous tree, around 20 meters high, with strong roots, oval leaves with short stems and top-shaped.

The flowers are small blooming in early spring before the leaves develop. The elm fruits are oval and have a seed in the middle. It grows on fertile lands and rocky areas. The bark and the leaves, mainly for external use, are used as medicament in treating skin diseases, wounds, burns, ulcers and the like. Elm tea is used for stomach cramps, diarrhea, sore throat, cough etc.
